unfortunately i am forced to smoke the brands of the unconsiderate SOBs who smoke around me. I can't distinguish between them because they all smell putrid.

Ive smoked marlboro lights for many years. Recently though even they have (before this it was red marlboro) started to disgust me almost forcing me to quit smoking.

When I was in the service yeeeeears ago and was foolish enough to smoke, I like all other military personel perfered the best brand of them all.

OPB's

I did smoke Raleigh's. They came with valuable redeemable coupons attached to each pack and 10 extra in each carton.

If you were still alive after you collected 2500 coupon you had a choice of free gifts, lung cancer treatments or a new boat.

Best thing was: C Rations came with one of 3 brands - Marbs, Kools, & Luckies.

I was never out of smokes as I inhereted pretty much everybody elses Luckies.

Hmmm. I thought there were Winston and Salem. Of course, I didn't smoke so I didn't pay much attention.

Try the Kent's with the Micronite filter! Inhale that squeeky-clean smoke - it's good for you now!

From 1952-1957, Kent's made the above cigarettes with a curious blue filter. Turned out the blue color was from the crocodolite asbestos that was in the filter. Talk about a double-whammy!

Winston Select. Perfect for a guy like me -- potent, but smooth.

I knew Kent's had asbestos in the filter.

Yes , it was thought to be a good thing long before the 50's & 60's, the Romans use to weave it into some clothing.

It's just that the people who thought it was good back in the 50's & 60's are all dead or dieing.

I still have my U.S. EPA certifaction through AHERA for detection and removal of Asbestos, also for trainning other personnel in removal.

If you got'um, smoke-um.

Ha ha... fresh air at 7,000 feet and no smoking at my school. I have to drive 30 miles to see someone smoking!

You know... come to think of it... I really haven't seen many Navajo smoking. Probably because it's too expensive a habit for them. Now, unfortunately, far too many Navajo that I encounter (outside of school, of course) seem to have alcohol on their breath. That's the terrible curse out here. There are always people trying to pawn their jewelry or just pan handle you for a couple of bucks for booze. I always get solicited by a half dozen people every time I go to my PO Box to get my mail. They are all friendly though, I've never felt intimidated by any of them. Even in the grocery store, I'll get approached by two or three people right inside the store. I offer to buy them some food, but they just want money for booze and I've never had anyone accept my food offer.

It is sad that the Human race is afflicted with a terrible susceptibility to addictions of various kinds (or at least the ones that destroy your health). I know we're all addicted to gaming

I don't smoke myself, but about a year ago my brother told me that he buys his cigarettes on the internet from Switzerland (Marlboros) and gets them much cheaper than the USA store price. I don't know if he still does that but if anyone is interested I can try to find out if it's still possible to get them from there. Maybe the company was shut down, I remember the company that makes Marlboros did not approve of this.

Way back when, in the day, as they say now...and I was a RM3 on the old Charlie Duece, we used to smoke sea store Marlboros. They had been in storage for a looooooooonnnnnnngggg time, and were as dry as the hair between the ears of a camel. They'd be gone in two drags, and were missing none of the nicotine. What a trip. Of course, I started on Bull Durhams, and then I quit about 20 years ago while I still had some lungs left. Now the only smell of smoke I like is that from a fireplace a long way off in the winter.

Ultra lite menthols - got hooked on them decades ago in the Army.

Yep, shouldn't smoke and drink. But I still do both...and I mean to go on doing both because I enjoy it.....I want to live my life - not just survive.

I have made one concession to changing times - I will only smoke outside on the back patio, not indoors anywhere anymore.
