Hi-V1.6, scen. 15, any time. My question is, Are there any adverse effects of a LCU if it is sea transported from US to Guam, then kept on board transports for several weeks waiting for rest of invasion force to assemble? I'm thinking of unit fatigue, loss of morale, orginazation, etc. Comments, please. Thanks, Hugh Browne

As far as I know none. I seem to remember this was commented on before.

Yea. I am pretty sure that someone (Mr.Frag or Pry) said that fatigue would increase.

It might be worth running a test on this. If I get chance I will do it tonight.

I just thought I would let you gentlemen know you were indeed correct, fatigue does increase while aboard ship. I have run the test, I put several LCU's aboard different TF's and ran the test to 2 weeks. Each lcu gained one fatigue point per day aboard ship.

hbrsvl, sorry for the misleading advice

I remember reading in the manual that troops will gain fatigue up to a maximum of 50 while being transported. I don't think the penalty should be so severe unless they're packed like sardines in their transport. What pops into my mind are documentaries showing Allied troops on their way to invasions relaxing on their transport. Maybe the Japanese were not particularly concerned about troop comfort while transporting their men, so for the Japanese maybe fatigue of 50 might be appropriate.

What percentage of the general population suffers from motion sickness? This would be a big factor, I suppose.
