Sign me up!! I'll buy when it's out.

But the important question. Did I get command of my armour battalion in the Phillipines like Tankerace promised so long ago?

Lt. Col. Capriglione ??/??

Unfortuneatly, their are no tanks in the PI at start. And early in the game tank units are Companies, so I had to make you a major. But arriving as a reinforcement early on:

Where is the best place to post requests for a command in future patches?

There won't be a tutorial scenario per se, but I do plan today or tomorrow to create a forum based tutorial, using the smaller Clash of Titans scenario as a base. Those two scenarios were designed both as quick play scenarios, and as a way for new players to feel around and get used to the game, providing quick confrontations.

I'll post the Tutorial thread in a sticky the day the game is released.

I'd wait to buy though after I post it (in your case), last thing I'd want is you to get burned if its not in depth enough to suit your needs. Though knowing these forums, any question you have could easily be answered.

Just to give me an idea of what to cover, what all would you like to see in it?

Amen! I'm delighted with my "command" and can't wait to run her into harm's way!

Fantastic marketing scheme! It definitely clinched my decision to buy it as soon as it was released!

Maybe land combat games should promote players as unit commanders too?

i was also wondering if i ended up getting my command. I was supposed to be in command of one of the french ships, the Desaix I believe.

Name should be Lamothe, G.

LOL! I got wiped out in turn 3 by the leader bug. I loaded my guys up in manila for an invasion of formosa. I changed my mind and unloaded to defend Luzon and now I'm gone, LMAO.

Oh well I was just getting a feel for the game and was planning to start a more serious game anyway.

Send me a save of you getting lost. In all of the beta testing and release, this is the first instance of the leader bug reported in WPO. Send the save to Tankerace_42@hotmail.com. We'll take a look at it, and see if we can find the problem.

as one of the first to AAR this I'd really like to appear somewhere as a commander.... though given my performance I'd have pretty crap stats.

Just post stats, and I'll see if I can bundle them in with the next patch.

Sent. I'm not a pbem 'er so let me know if you need other files. Those are the only 2 turns I saved. I had already changed the weak leader who replaced me tho. He was an amercican officer.

Sorry I didn't get back sooner, was kinda busy.

I looked at your turn 4 Save, youwere not in command of the fragment (21st NG Tank Co/2) on shore, BUT you were in command of the parent unit still aboard the ship. Ran the turn, and when the unit reccombined in Manila, you were the leader. There was no leader bug, and you weren't zapped! Woo hoo.
