No probs downloading.Ran through sim with start recomended in tutorial.Saved game overnight. No probs reloading saved pos. Then after a while during surface combat graphics screen went blank computer completly crashed only way to restart was to switch of.My computer exceeds min requirements by a large margin. Interested to know what could be the prob since prob computer slowed down.Have never had this prob before with any software. Also is it pos when hard copy is available to have 1 on same terms as other games when you can do digital download and have CD.

Hi there. Sorry you are having troubles.

FIrst off I need to know specifics. What are your computer specs (not just they exceed, need to know what they are). What is your OS, also, to eliminate one old problem, rename your SOUND directory to NOSOUND. Does that fix your problem?

More info is needed so we can help you.

Thanks for such a quick response. First of all congratulations on such an excellent game. My OS - Windows XP Home Ed Service pack 2, processor - Athlon AMD 1900+ running at 1.6Ghz, memory - 512 mb, graphics - S3 Pro Savage 16mb, sound - Creative Sound Blaster. After being off overnight computer back to normal speed. Have full Norton security suite and anti - spyware. As I said it downloaded perfectly or appeared to. I know that sometimes glitches can occur in new programes and can often be resolved by reloading the programe which is why I asked about CD availability. Will try suggestion of renaming SOUND directory but would like more details of what that would do and involve. Feel a bit daft about this as I spent some of my profesional life running and sorting out commercial simulations. Oh well my family talls me that as I get older my brain is going. Thanks

Hmmm... I can't be sure, (I'll do more checking in a few hours, I have to go out of town for a while), my guess would be the 16mb Video Card is causing hiccups during surface combats (you can play the game, but the added graphics are making it screwy), or what I bet is causing the problem is Norton. I don't use Norton now, but when I did it caused a ton of problems for me when I played games. Try disabling it while you are playing, and see if that helps.

Have run a couple of brief scenarios, saved position, reloaded etc without further probs. Seems like maybe was a glitch. Thanks for advice.

I have also gotten two crashes so far. I got one last night where the game just froze and today it crashed while I was giving orders.

Not sure what is causing this??
I have a PIII, 1 GiG or Ram, Radeon 9800 Pro, SB Live 5.1, 60 Gig of free hard drive space.

What programs running in background?
Software firewall? Anti Virius? etc..

If installed for all users, create an User acct and try running it under that as I do, a User acct runs less background OS Services not having Admin rights and so both frees up more Ram and also shuts off services running that might be grabbing cpu time from game.
