Has anyone experienced a problem building lancers? In an Austria game, whenever I chose to build lancers, they would never appear on the build list. The black square where the current unit shows would flicker, then be blank.

I originally meant to post this last week, so I was using version 1.2.14 in that game and it may have been fixed with 1.2.16, but I've never heard anyone else mention it.

No, always works fine built lancers about of you question, in fact I had made several lancers in my games include TCPIP ver 1.2.16

Were you able to order a lancer to be built and then upon returning to the campaign screen the selection had vanished, or do you mean that the option to build a unit does not display?

There had initially been a problem in requiring one extra level of barracks in order to build a lancer, but IIRC this has now been fixed in the various 1.2beta patches...

I've been unable to build French lancers. they appear on the build list and are not greyed out. I have the appropriate barracks and materials but they just won't build. All other items do fine.

Version 1.2.14

Sounds like gdpsnake is having the same problem as I did. The word "Lancers" was black, but as soon as I went back to the province screen, the rectangle displaying the current build order would flicker, then be blank.

This was as Austria, playing the 1792 scenario. Could it be a bug with upgraded barracks that doesn't happen with later scenarios that start with higher-level barracks?

If you improve the barracks by one more level can you now get the build order to work?

I'm playing a different game now, as Sweden but again in the 1792 scenario, and I've encountered the lancer problem again. This time I built my barracks up an extra level, but still no lancers. My barracks are at level 8 and my courts are at level 6.

Maybe because these countries never had any lancers? Probably due to lack of polish recruits.

There was a bug regarding the production of lancers in earlier versions of the game, but I thought we'd fixed it (by 1.2.14). I'll take a look next time I play Austria during testing.

greetings, in my recent game, testing my mod i have the chance to build lancers, if i try to build them going to province management i cannot but issuing the order by the main screen with the province selected i got my first lancer unit!, it is achieved as britain, with level 8 barracks and level 5 courts, try to build them by main game screen, maybe the bug as been solved.

greetings, glad to see you, garoco, i can build lancers, at least as france and britain for this time, with france only needed 7 barracks level and 5 courts level, but for the build order must do it by the main map, clicking in the blanck space on the right side of the name of province selected, if i try to build through "province management" it doesn't work, have make my post seeing that there are people with problems, i have ver. 1.2.16, and no more problems, thanks you and hope to see you soon,

You´re welcome, I will probe this problem with others countries, like you said, this problem don´t have all the Major Powers.
