Willard -> Digital Download of Spartan and GOT (12/17/2005 11:42:30 PM)

I purchased the digital download of Spartan and GOT.
Is there a pdf file with info/game manual located somewhere?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Thanks for your purchase and yes, absolutely. If you use the desktop shortcut to the game menu, there should be a link to the manual there. There should also be a link to it in the Start menu folder for Spartan and Gates of Troy.

- Erik

Erik -

I have used the short-cuts to the game and the start menu folder with no luck.
I also looked through the installed game files also.
Any suggestions???
If necessary, I can provide documentation for digital dl should you have any concerns about the "origin" of my copy of the games.

Thanks for your help!!

Willard,

In my install folder, there is a PDF file called GatesOfTroy_Print_Manual. That is the rule book. I can access it both through the start menu and the game menu though. Maybe you have a corrupted install that didn't put the manual there.

Good Luck.

Willard,

I'm going to use Gates of Troy as an example. Once installed, I have on my desktop a shortcut called "Gates Of Troy Game Menu". I double-click on that. It brings up the game menu in the picture below. I click there on the link called "Game Manual" and the manual comes up. If this doesn't work for you, please explain in detail at which point in those steps it looks different on your system.

- Erik

Eric -

I don't have that load page at all.
For me to get to GOT, I have to do the following:

-Start
-Programs
-Games
-Slitherine
-GOT

Once I click on GOT, than it brings me into the game menu.
The only options I have then are: new, load, start, etc

I do not see the pic you have above at all...and there are now links to game manual.
The same info applies to Spartan also.

Thanks,

Willard

Willard,

Are you 100% certain you purchased this from us and not directly from Slitherine?

Here's what my Start Menu group looks like for Gates of Troy. If yours does not look the same, then it's not the Matrix version.

Erik -

I purchased the digital download of Spartan and GOT.
I did this on the Slitherine homepage.
I guess from your response there are 2 versions...both a Slitherine digital download and a Matrix Edition?
If that is the case, I guess I would need to speak with Slitherine.
I assumed there was only one version of the game (me being ignorant!!!).
I'll check again when I get home.

Yes, if you purchased directly from Slitherine, through their store then you will have to contact them for support.
