As to patch 1.795: Yes, No or Maybe?
One of my pbem partners wants to upgrade from 1.6 to 1.795.
What is the Good, the Bad and the Ugly an patch 1.795?

Stick with 1.6 and stay away from 1.795 and wait for 1.8 to come out.

If you read the "Is the leader bug a show-stopper" it seems that 1.795 (which is a beta by the way), instead of fixing the leader bug, seems to aggravate it more than other patches.

Concur. Particularly if you want to continue a game started under a previous patch. I have found 1.795 not to be unplayable if you start a new game, but it seems to deteriorate significantly as game time goes along...
