KG Erwin -> German Recon Battalions and their use (1/19/2006 5:01:45 AM) Here's a good article, written by historian Bryan Perrett: http://www.geocities.com/desertfox1891/Tactics/Panzertaktik.htm This leads to a question: the scale of SPWaW doesn't lend itself to the concept of "deep reconnaisance" by motorized or foot elements, so, are recon elements a vital part of your forces, or simply cannon fodder to scope out your opponents?
