Mr.Frag -> The Zero Bonus ... Uncovered? (1/20/2006 4:59:08 PM)

Found this little tidbit the other day ... makes for an interesting read ... we tend to concentrate a lot on the machines and ignore the men behind them ...

Ron Saueracker -> RE: The Zero Bonus ... Uncovered? (1/20/2006 5:22:51 PM)

I think it may be linked to diet...

Mr.Frag -> RE: The Zero Bonus ... Uncovered? (1/20/2006 5:26:23 PM)

Your starting that one again? [:D]

Ron Saueracker -> RE: The Zero Bonus ... Uncovered? (1/20/2006 5:33:52 PM)

Yeah, like who in their right mind, excepting the Old Man and the Sea character who was starving and could not catch many fish, would eat this with bazillions of fish available? There must be some secret benefit.

Mr.Frag -> RE: The Zero Bonus ... Uncovered? (1/20/2006 5:37:13 PM)

Eating brains ... not that the fish had any or it would have been the one who got away ...

Kinda a like rabbits foot ... certainly didn't bring much luck to the rabbit [:D]

So, according to the article, kill rates double for g-suited Allied pilots (while the IJN and IJA didn't have them). So, when can we expect the "G-suit/M-maneuver" bonus for the Allies to show up in WITP??[:'(][:D]

Nikademus -> RE: The Zero Bonus ... Uncovered? (1/20/2006 6:17:58 PM)

already there.....its called the Corsair [:'(]

Mr.Frag -> RE: The Zero Bonus ... Uncovered? (1/20/2006 6:35:58 PM)

Don't forget the F6F's ... they eat japanese aircraft too

Ah, but shouldn't ALL Allied (or at least US) aircraft have their kill rates doubled? [:'(]

i can see it now: Beware of the Wirraways!!![:D]

Mr.Frag -> RE: The Zero Bonus ... Uncovered? (1/20/2006 6:52:40 PM)

Naw, lets not get carried away ... you do need an aircraft that the wings don't fall off when you pull 3 g's [:D]

A bonus is totally inappropriate. G-suits should be tracked individually and rules designed so that we can assign them by pilot. Naturally only the best pilots should be given the limited G-suits.

It should also be required that they be physically transported from the west coast to the individual air bases in order to be available. Obvously, the g-suits would not become available on the same day all over the Pacific.

Until the G-suit BUG is solved we should consider the game broken at least as far as historical accuracy is concerned.

[:D][:D] Joking of course.[:D][:D]

Nikademus -> RE: The Zero Bonus ... Uncovered? (1/20/2006 7:49:52 PM)

what if the suits start disapearing? is it a bug or is it a logistical creativity clause built into the game to represent motivated squadron ordinance clerks......?

Ah - we could click on the pilot, and assign them G-suits, with g-suit availability listed at the bottom of the pilot screen (sort of like PT boat or barge availability in the Ships screen). Then if we gave them a g-suit, they get a little asterisk next to their name. Their chance of kill is doubled... Oh, boy!!

So, Frag, when is the code being revised??!!![:D][:D][:D]

The suits are sold on a first-come-first-served basis through M&M Enterprises...[:D]

As I would not like my suits disappearing I would have to call it a bug. Creativity should only be used to justify aspects of the game which I like.

I hope that clears up your confusion. Now please get back to work on that sinking US CV bug.

Nikademus -> RE: The Zero Bonus ... Uncovered? (1/20/2006 7:59:08 PM)

that wasn't a CV bug....i was momentarily possessed by Rroberson

Can you find out the cargo requirements for these devices and also the manufacturing requirements ... obviously we need to add some factories with R&D that players can mess with to get it right [;)]

Hail to the Chief!

Rob *invented* the artform of loosing CV's ... no one else has even come close to that many creative ways of doing it! [&o]

what are u suggesting? naked pilots swimming? I'd have to delete that then [:D]

Nikademus -> RE: The Zero Bonus ... Uncovered? (1/20/2006 8:53:16 PM)

add a "Get Suit" button right below "Get Pilot".

I'm sure MikeW can do it...its not like he's busy or anything.....[:D]

Now, what happens if the pilot is wounded? Does the suit go into the hospital with him, and then does it come back repaired?? Or, is he "stripped" of his suit by those naughty, naughty nurses...[:'(]

Inquiring minds want to know!!!

Nikademus -> RE: The Zero Bonus ... Uncovered? (1/20/2006 9:15:55 PM)

its listed as TOA

(torn in action)

It may come back.....if the Tailor deems it.

2ndACR -> RE: The Zero Bonus ... Uncovered? (1/20/2006 9:17:57 PM)

I will have you all know that Rob has yet to lose a CV in our game. Date is now Jan 7 42 and he still has them all. Of course he is hiding them somewhere, but hey, it is a vast improvement. LOL

Unfortunately, there is only one device slot in the data base for G-Suits (3789) - and it's hard coded only for Navy Pilots. It can't be changed - or you screw up the whole game. sigh[:D]

treespider -> RE: The Zero Bonus ... Uncovered? (1/20/2006 9:25:40 PM)

Now you do realize that the suits wouldn't be available unless the Allies had a port open in China or the burma road open....Oh you didn't read the tag inside the collar...."Made in China"

Skyros -> RE: The Zero Bonus ... Uncovered? (1/20/2006 9:27:18 PM)

Its not a bug its spoilage, it was introduced in the last patch. If you do not assign the suit to a pilot there is a random chance modified by the inspiration of the local Quartermaster Sargetn that it will disapear.
