Einar Fridgeirs -> Operation Sea Lion - The ultimate "What-if" campaign? (1/30/2006 3:48:02 AM)

Being a huge fan of speculative fiction and "what-if" thinking, I am curious if any SP scenario designer has ever though about tackling Operation Sea Lion, the aborted invasion of Britain.

In my mind itīs the ultimate "what-if" Megacampaign. It came very close to execution, would probably have changed the entire course of the war and would be able to have some roots in historical accuracy since units were to the best of my knowledge assigned to the operation and battle plans and strategies committed to paper.

There is surely a wealth of books and information on it, so consider this a humble request from a plaer to all you designers: If you donīt know what campaign to develop next, try this subject. You are guaranteed at least one player!!! [:D]

E.F.

Head on over to the Depot ............................. M4Jess has created at least two (maybe even three, I'll have to check)linked SeaLion battles. Me and Bagheera are in the middle of round one right now. I've landed at Dover and we're now pounding the snot out of each other.

What great fun!

Hi Einar.

Mess is correct.

Jess did a two part Sea Lion campaign. There is also another Sea Lion campaign that pre-dates Jess's.

I haven't played any of them so I can't comment as to the quality, but if Jess created it--it will be good.

Let me know if you have any trouble locating them.
