I m facing the most annoying problem at the moment and after sometime trying to figure out what s wrong i decided to post for help. After trying different mods i decided to wipe oup my old WITP folder to reinstall a fresh copy and patch it. But after inserting my disc in my cdrw i realized nothing happened... no autorun nothing. So i opened my explorer and doubleclicked the WarInThePacific-Setupv121.exe file. Still nothing comes up. and when i finally ejected the disc a message pops up telling me it won t initialize (some 0xc0000006 error) If anyone could give help me out on this one

when did you bought the game CD. on newer versions, 1.3 is already on the CD. newest CD's contain 1.5. 1.2.1 is a VERY old patch. after an 1,0 install, patch to 1.3 ( komprehensive patch ). then patch to 1.4, then to 1.5, then to 1.6

I bought it quite some time ago and never ran across that problem before. Played with the different pacthes as they were available and never ever had and problem whatsoever until yesterday. Good thing is that I finally ended up with a simple copy/paste on my HD and at last was able to install it from there [:D]

The installer is probably trying to write to the CD ... it is meant to run off a writable drive. (ie: you downloaded it) Copy it to a temp directory and run from there instead of launching directly from the media.
