DOAsaturn -> Many Problems during gameplay, can't finish a game (3/4/2006 7:39:52 AM)

OK, here's the deal.

My comp is old, but should be able to run a game like this, here are the specs:

AMD Duron 750 Mhz
512 MB RAM
Radeon 9000 PRO AGP
Windows XP SP2
My comp runs fine at 1280x1024 32 bit

I'm always getting errors on even the lowest settings. choppy frame issues, and after every play I get a F9 continue message, then after a few plays I finally get a CAN'T CONTINUE, Esc to QUIT message.

Now I don't know if I can possibly have dual monitor settings with only one monitor running, if this is even possible. I should be able to run this game as I've run many other comparable games as well with ease.

Most 9000s have only 64MB, Does yours have 128MB?

You are also welll below the min CPU rating (1GHZ).

It sounds like you might only have 64MB of VRAM?

DOAsaturn,

Please post a DxDiag file for us so that we can check your installed driver info.

Also, does this still happen if you run in 800x600x16 with no Shadows and the low res stadiums?

Regards,

- Erik

AMD Duron 750 MHz <--- has half the cache memory as the Athlon and is a bit under spec.

512 MB RAM <--- is this SDRAM or DDR RAM?

Radeon 9000 Pro AGP <--- is a DirectX 8.1 card and does have pixel shaders. It has the power of a GeForce 3 or Geforce 4 depending on the test and if the Radeon has 64MB or 128MB RAM. It does have dual screen capability built in, so that should be checked.

Have you turned off instant replays?
