Maliki -> Just one small problem (3/4/2006 2:43:04 PM)

I'm having one small problem.

Whenever i go to play an actual game, not sim it,i get kicked back to desktop right from the loading game screen.

I get the following error:

mfb-main.exe Appver 1.0.0.08 modname tvutil61.dll modversion 6.2.0.0 offset 000555sec.

It's all Greek to me.[&:][:D]

I decided to try a quickplay game.I hit quickplay and during the ensuing loading screen it gives me the same error.

Hm, tvutil61.dll is one of the came component files. Can you confirm that you allowed the Game Components to install?

Can you post a DxDiag file for us please? Follow the instructions at the top of this forum.

Do you have anything else running in the background?

Which version of Windows are you running?

Regards,

- Erik

Yes i had the boxes checked.

I disabled my anti-virus as it said to during installation, but not my firewall program. When i went to continue from where it asked you to install all components Norton Go Back did come on and ask me if i wanted to make changes to my computer.

Windows XP home edition.

Maliki,

Ok, the DxDiag shows some problem areas:

- You have 256MB RAM vs. the 512MB minimum. While I've gotten M-F to run in less than 512MB, it much prefers 512MB.

- You have a SIS Integrated Video system with 32MB of video memory, which it may be "borrowing" from your system memory. Also, the drivers for this are a debug version from 2002, four years ago and pre-DirectX 9. The minimum requirement is a 128MB non-integrated card.

I'm not sure you'll be able to play in 3D with the video system you have, which is really not adequate for any recent 3D game. Your first step should be to update your video driver and see if that helps. Your next step would be to try getting a non-integrated video card - anything non-integrated and 128MB from nVidia and ATI should work. Finally, you may need to up your memory to 512MB to get the best performance. Your processor is fast enough to handle the game, but the rest of your system is really below the minimum spec.

Card name: AG315E-32
Manufacturer: SiS
Chip type: SiS 315E Rev 00
DAC type: Internal
Device Key: Enum\PCI\VEN_1039&DEV_0325&SUBSYS_0C421019&REV_00
Display Memory: 32.0 MB
Current Mode: 800 x 600 (32 bit) (60Hz)
Driver Name: SiSGRV.dll
Driver Version: 6.13.0010.2060 (English)
Driver Attributes: Final Debug
Driver Date/Size: 2/4/2002 19:07:24, 339584 bytes

Regards,

- Erik

Thanks.

I know i need to update a few things, but i figured if it could run CMAK without a hitch then it might be able to run this.

I've tried updating my older drivers, but using the wizard it never finds any newer versions[&:]
