CFL_FAN_7 -> Maximum Football 2-good solution (3/7/2006 4:10:24 AM)

Maximum football 2 is a good solution to all these problems just update the game and add some extra features (i.e.player salary negotiations). Ypu can start by repairing the game and the adding on the extra fatures.

While a new edition with new graphic and such is probably on the horizon, Winter Valley and Matrix have too much going on right now with the troubleshooting and patching to concentrate on starting all over again. Besides, the changes and additions to MaxFB to make it more realistic kind of negate the need for a whole new game right now. All the features you've mentioned in this post and others, I have seen in past posts about adding to the existing game at a future date. As well, with it being a PC game with Live Support, as opposed to a console game where 'what you've bought, you've got' the game almost becomes a 'living document' and can be further customized without players having to start a whole new learning curve like they would with a new game.

Besides, after six years of toiling on MaxFB, I think Dave deserves a vacation.[;)]

Where ya gonna go diving, Dave?

IT wasnt to add to the existing game, but to ideas for future versions (if there will be)

**What do you tihnk of my ideas of importing rosters***[:)]I tihnk that would add some more flexibility to the game

They don't have to change the whole thing

Brockleigh -> RE: Maximum Football 2-good solution (3/7/2006 4:55:29 AM)

... or they could just implement all the changes and release it as a free update or one with a nominal charge as opposed to making it a whole production number at full pop. [:)]

And importing rosters is always a good idea in a game such as this, and although I haven't bought the game yet (I need to update my video card first), I'd be greatly surprised if the ability to import rosters wasn't already present.

That's a good idea, but i hear so much about Maximum football 2 and how it will ahve player negotiations and I might not be able to get this one in time.[:(]

BUt with the rating system i mentioned:

My suggestion/wish for a future maximum football>> importing players in

offseason in League mode and having the original leagues

(CFL, NFL, and AFL) and you can have the created leagues import

players too.

I'll explain the importing with 3 examples:

Example 1 AFL + CFL>>>NFL

- You're in League game and your playing with NFL team in the NFL

-TEAM B is looking for a player from the CFL, in the off season

- A list of players in Free Agency in the CFL are selected randomly with random ratings and positions (list should be up to 65 players)

- TEAM B signs CFL WR Jerard Jones (Slot backs will be converted to WR when they're signed by an NFL team) and DB Darell Dawkens (Cornerbacks can become Half-backs or Defensive backs and you choose after you sign the player)

- WR Jerard Jones and DB Darell Dawkens had 95 in: Intellegence, Discipline, Blocking. Block Avoidance, Pass Accuracy, Catching, Hands, and Coverage, when you saw the list of CFL free agents.

- When they go to NFL only those ratings go down by 20 (25 for AFL), so they have 75 in those areas because NFL has better players, which I hate to admit, but it's realistic, look @ Ricky Ray when he went to the NFL he was so bad, he was 2nd string and he comes to the CFL and wins a grey cup.

- When you or another team signs them the 20 point drop takes affect (If it's an AFL player its a 25 point drop), but overtime in the season will go up depending on gameplay.

-You are warned of this decrease (In Areas I picked in the example) and you have choice to continue, when you click the player, if you want to sign the player or not.

**Better give player a convincing offer or he'll turn you down and you cant sign him**

Example 2 NFL>>>AFL or CFL

- You're in League game and your playing with CFL team in the CFL

-TEAM B is looking for a player from the NFL, in the off season

- A list of players in Free Agency in the NFL are selected randomly with random ratings and positions (list should be up to 65 players)

- TEAM B signs NFL WR Jerard Jones and CB Darell Dawkens (Cornerbacks signed by a CFL team will become Half-backs, Defensive backs, or Safeties and you choose after you sign the player)

- WR Jerard Jones and DB Darell Dawkens had 75 in: Intellegence, Discipline, Blocking. Block Avoidance, Pass Accuracy, Catching, Hands, and Coverage, when you saw the list of NFL free agents.

- When they go to NFL only those ratings increase by 10 (If it's from the AFL those ratings go up by 15), so they have 95 in those areas

- When you or another team signs them the 20 point increase takes affect, but overtime in the season will their ratings in those listed areas will go up or down depending on his performance.

- You click on the player you are told that he will recieve a 20 point increase (If it's from the AFL a 15-point increase) in the following areas (Areas I picked in the example) and you're given the choice of signing the player or not, but if signing the player exceeds the Import limit you cannot sign the player and you are told so when you click yes.

**Better give player a good offer or he'll turn you down and you cant sign him**

Example 3- Created leagues

**For players in a created league team going to NFL. AFL, or CFL there is no rating change, but if a player is a 90 or higher in the areas i mentioned they'll go down by 10 in those areas I mentioned in Examples 1 and 2 (so you can't be cheap). You will be warned*****

***If you sign players from NFL, AFL, or CFL to your created league team those players with 80 or lower in those areas from examples 1 and 2 will have a 10 point increase in those areas.

***If you're taking a player from a created league and you're a CFL team trying to sign him, he counts as an import player and import rules apply to him.****

**Better give player a good offer or he'll turn you down and you cant sign him**

*That is my wish and suggestion for a future maximum-football, I really think you should consider it, it would be fun*

Created league>>>created league

**Just moving your players normally no effects to the players***

Brockleigh -> RE: Maximum Football 2-good solution (3/7/2006 5:13:14 AM)

I've seen you bring up this idea in a past post. It's very interesting and highly intriguing.

I wonder if it's something that can be brought out in the current version, as opposed to waiting until MaxFB2.

CFL_FAN_7 -> RE: Maximum Football 2-good solution (3/7/2006 5:15:18 AM)

I've been wondering because I'd like to import players from different leagues that way, with my rating system you cant get an allstar team which makes the game challenging...I really like the idea of importing CIS players into a game like madden does with NCAA football.

Brockleigh -> RE: Maximum Football 2-good solution (3/7/2006 5:23:59 AM)

The only problem I would forsee is that ALL leagues would have to be created leagues, so you'd have to set the 'Player Importing Adjustment' setting yourself.

Because MaxFB isn't a licensed product, and major league licensing can be quite 'cha-ching', especially with the licensing wars between EA and 2K Sports (EA had to change it's baseball title this year to NCAA Baseball, because 2K sports snapped up the exclusive license to MLB), means that future MaxFB releases will most likely be unlicensed as well.

CFL_FAN_7 -> RE: Maximum Football 2-good solution (3/7/2006 5:26:18 AM)

I noticed that waaaaaaaay after i posted that...lol

zowee77 -> RE: Maximum Football 2-good solution (3/7/2006 5:50:38 AM)

Hey I have an idea why not continue to patch this game and keep calling it Maximum Football[:D]. I would rather have many new features added in this version before a salary cap / financial system was added.

CFL_FAN_7 -> RE: Maximum Football 2-good solution (3/9/2006 1:20:15 AM)

having a financial system is sick though

I disagree, I hate salary caps and financial asspects of sports, thus it should be a must an option, when creating a league.
