grraven2004 -> Loading ship torpedos in smaller ports (3/14/2006 11:16:46 PM)

I would like to know what type of ship is needed to load torps in smaller than a size 9 port. I have heard its possible but I don't remember how its done.

Thanks

AS for subs. (sub tender)

for warships, a (AD?) DD tender

believe size 5 is the min for ship torps. dont quote me. its hard to multi task [:D]

All warships aside from PT boats, which require their own type of tender (AGP). Destroyers also repair faster in a base with an AD present.

Ok so an AE in Saigon should reload CA and CL torps? Assuming Saigon is a size 5 port?

Nikademus -> RE: Loading ship torpedos in smaller ports (3/14/2006 11:42:24 PM)

yep

don't even need the AE

Terminus -> RE: Loading ship torpedos in smaller ports (3/14/2006 11:43:54 PM)

To reload torps, you need a size 8 port, or an AD. AE don't reload torps.

OK Nik if thats true then why don't my cruisers reload there? I have to take them all the way to Shanghai to get them to reload. as thats the closest size 9 port. I must be missing something.

Check my post #6, and the manual section 14.2.1.

Because it appears i'm wrong. I know.....its rare, but i'll admit to the occasional boo boo...especially when i'm at work. [;)]

He said when he was at work.......

I bet his job description 'at work' is the same as here on the forums too...he's just that good at it...[:D]

This is a torpedo supply in a size 0 port. Typical ´milkcow´supply operation in the Atlantic until all ´milkcows´were sunk.

What's the big ball thingys? Water-wings?

Terminus -> RE: Loading ship torpedos in smaller ports (3/15/2006 8:52:08 PM)

Probably. Looks like they're simply floating it across between the U-Boats.

Wouldn't it be easier and quicker to just fire up the motor and point the torp at the other sub [:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

Terminus -> RE: Loading ship torpedos in smaller ports (3/16/2006 9:48:29 PM)

Well, yeah... but also counter-productive, somehow...
