firebirds -> Abilities with less than min requirements? (3/18/2006 1:42:05 AM)

During development the game has progressed passed my curretn graphics card, thus I need to upgrade. I haven't purchased the game yet but I do have every intention of doing so. Is it safe to assume that, even with less than minimum graphics card requirements, I could: 1. Generate teams/leagues with uniforms/field art for when I'm ready to play (the work others have done is awesome)? 2. Be able to work/learn/play with the PDS (playbook work already done has accomplished a lot of what I was thinking about, but I still have my own little things to check out)? 3. I already know this is a loaded question in that I've read some people with at least a somewhat "equal" set up as mine (XP home edition, 1.6 gig processor, 512 ram, GeForce 2 w/64 meg processor) have had success in playing the game. Can I actually play the game or will I be drastically limited because of my current configuration? To be honest I'm trying to figure a sound strategy to convince "mrs. firebirds" that what I want to get may not be ideally playable at this point in time due to the computer situation yet it still wouldn't be a bad idea right now because I could "fix to get ready" in preparation for the new graphics card which will also enable her to do more with what she wants to do (been married awhile so I've learned a little something, lol). And every indication is that the issues that have come up with the game are being positively addressed ASAP with the fixes working plus it looks like the game will be fully supported for the duration. With 3 kids and a very tight budget it is important that I can justify every $$ that is used for entertainment, especially when I'm the only one that is probably going to get the benefit of same.
