I've been mostly busy working on the restoration project I agreed to in order for the government here to let me buy this place. It's getting to the point where the old monastery grounds and chapel are looking usable again. The entire place, except for my house and grounds, will be dedicated as a library and historical monument this spring.
Then, as the weather improves, the mighty sailin' man (the skipper brave and sure) is off to points west, notably Malta, Gibraltar, and Casablanca, then out into the wild, dangerous Atlantic for a visit to the Azores, followed by a cruise down the African coast like an 18th century pirate in search of plunder and booty (love that West African booty), and back home by late summer.
It's a rough life, but somebody's got to do it.
