They may have been "distrubed" before the Anti-Thread, but they are "quite distrubed" now.[sm=00000018.gif]

Mark VII, which B17 did you see in Texas? The Liberty Belle was in Galveston on March 18 for adjustments to her main landing gear. Thanks.

Bruce

Mark VII -> RE: anti-thread (3/26/2007 5:47:00 AM)

It was the Aluminum Overcast based out of Oshkosh, WI operated by the EAA. She visited a small airfield just East of Nashville last year. Check out http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=1313071&mpage=1&key= for photos of my day with the Overcast.

BrucePowers -> RE: anti-thread (3/26/2007 6:19:17 AM)

Thank you. They had the Liberty Bell in the hangar at the LoneStar Flight Museum. They had come in Friday on an unscheduled flight because her main gear was acting up. If anyone is interested I can post some photos.

6971grunt -> RE: anti-thread (4/2/2007 7:22:21 PM)

Had a B-17 at a Minneapolis airport sometime ago. What is amazing is how small the crew's combat stations were and the pilot areas were not all that "roomy". Obviously, getting out in any emergency could be problematic. [sm=scared0018.gif]
