What would be cool is find the links between the formations and plays so you can backup playbooks, formations and plays. It would be cool to be able to zip all the plays for a specific formation. Outside or inside of the game would be cool.

This can be done.

1) Create a new playbook named whatever formation you want.

2) Import each play of that type into that playbook.

3) Save it as an export file.

Make sure you save a copy of each of the export files outside of the Matrix Games\Maximum Football\ folder in case you want to delete the game and do a clean install.

It's a workaround, but it will probably work.

The playbooks are access databases. The following data is part of one of the tables. It will lose most of its formatting when I paste it to this message but hopefully you can get the picture. I have added the "/" to seperate the various fields

ID/ PlayName/ PlayID/ FormationID/ PlayType/ PlayCategory/ MaxPlayers/ FileName/ SituationOnly/
1/ KO NORMALA/ 158052/ 271723/ 0/ 4/ 11/ FALSE/
2/ FIELDGOAL/ 229429/ 229103/ 0/ 6/ 11/ FALSE/

Thanks, Deltadog. I just assumed it was an encrypted database.

David has stated from the very start that most of the files in Maximum-Football would be open for third party utility creation. That's pretty cool.
