niceguy2005 -> RE: back...kinda (10/22/2006 4:16:44 AM)

41 out of 59 Wilcats damaged and not a single one shot down. [:-]

I think you had better fit your gunners with glasses...really thick ones. [:D]

Does the Intel screen show many Wildcat op losses? That would imply that they went into the drink as a result of their damage.

I dont know what any of you are arguing about. I'm not a sports fan and even I know that New Jersey doesnt have a baseball team. [:-]

It barely has a football team...and that only because we in NY let you borrow it.

ny59giants -> RE: back...kinda (10/22/2006 6:24:19 AM)

Best regular season records don't seem to give teams the edge they use to in sports. Both NY baseball teams get there, but don't make it to the "Show."
Next year, they should try harder to get the Wild Card. [:D][:D]

IIRC i only loss 1 F4F due to damage (aka "op losses")

i think there should be a restructuring of the home field advantage for best record teams in the MLB...to bring it more in line with NFL homefield advantage results. Only 1 wild card team in NFL history has won the superbowl...but like 5 have one the world series

instead of 2 home, 3 away, 2 home....It should go 3 home, 2 away, 2 home

and in the divions series it should go 2 home, 1 away, 2 home

Had these been B-17s or B-24s they would have shot down all 41 Wildcats. Apparently .50 cals are a lot better than 7.7mm MGs. [:(]

As long as you keep your baseball teams on your side of the river everything will be just fine. Getting to a NY stadium is a pain in the @ss so it is no wonder that your teams play here. I have been to Yankees Stadium once (only so my neice could so the Angles kick their butts) and it was the worst trip I had ever made. There is no parking, the place smells like urine, and the traffic is terrible. Getting to Shea Stadium is where the term "You can't get there from here" comes from. Giants Stadium is much better.

The "Link" and Citizen's Bank Park are so much better and easier to get to. I am a Philadelphia sports fan anyway.

The term "Long suffering Philly sports fan" is redundant. [:D] All Philly sports fans are long suffering ones.

ny59giants -> RE: Waiting to strike back (10/30/2006 3:25:30 AM)

I don't know if I should post on this AAR after both the "Beagles"  [sm=Crazy-1271.gif] and the "Tenants"  [sm=Crazy-1271.gif] lost today...[:D][:D][:D]

I'ver already eaten all my [sm=00000613.gif] for this AAR and am waiting for some more serious shooting to take place.

PT boats and Barges don't count. [;)]

RUPD3658 -> RE: Waiting to strike back (10/30/2006 4:23:27 AM)

By Summer 43 you will see an invasion of Russia and an Allied advance in the South Pacific. Both should be bloody.

We are both positioning and building forces up.

yeah my planned offensive is taking longer to form up than previously thought. My offensive at Port Moresby was of such critical importance to succeed that about 60-70% of my available land, air, and naval units were committed to the attack. While it was a complete success, i need to redirect some of this force elsewhere

RUPD3658 -> RE: Waiting to strike back (10/30/2006 5:42:16 AM)

Barges got stopped cold at Dobodora. Good thing I evacuated most of the PM force via barge and sub before the blockade was formed. Now if the DDs will just stick around long enough for my Bettys to pay them back...[:D]

RUPD3658 -> Tokyo Express Derailed (11/1/2006 4:40:07 AM)

I figured that I would take advantage of a thunderstorm and fast transport some troops to Lae. At full speed they should have been 6 hexes away by dawn but Cmdr. Dumbass-San decided that he needed to refuel before leaving. Turns out that the weather cleared up fast and I learned that the 4E bombers have not left PM like I had thought. Back to using barges.

MLs were sent to Kavieng under the same thunderstorm and also got smacked. Sad thing is that Kenny already mined the base for me and one of my subs hit a mine.[:@]

Total losses for the day were 3 DDs and 2 MLs. 4 MLs and a SS may sink soon.
