Wait, I'm pretty sure that I took that back in the early 70's...

Did you pass?

I think the fact that he remembers the '70s means that by the standards of those taking it, he failed. [:D]

Terminus -> RE: v1.8 Acknowledgements (4/20/2006 8:33:00 AM)

Too young to have taken the acid test myself, so I remember the 70's quite well. What a crap decade that was...

bradfordkay -> RE: v1.8 Acknowledgements (4/20/2006 8:50:54 AM)

Well, there was the night three of us spent playing the Battle of Trafalgar (SPI's Frigate!)under those conditions. Talk about the Fog of War!!! We had a blast... Sometime during the night a girl who was after me came by. She got pretty pissed off about how little I was interested in her that night. If I could find the game, I could read to you the little notes she wrote in the margins of the CRT sheet... [sm=dizzy.gif]

What is an acid test? A drug test?

Gold doesn't react to most acids as other metals do, but does react to nitric acid. To confirm that a find was gold they used this acid in 'the acid test'!!

Thanks Matrix and dedicated WITP fans. I love this game and have been waiting for this patch. Matrix never disappoints me. I wish every company gave as good service.

I don't know about that. I had a good time (Jackie). Very cute farm girl.[X(][:D]

Being a 60's kid, I remember what an acid test is , just not whether I passed or not. [:D]

Thanks guys I do really "thank you" for your hard work.[;)]

06 Maestro -> RE: v1.8 Acknowledgements (4/21/2006 4:37:25 AM)

Being from the Bronze Age (late), it’s hard for me to picture geeks actually working. After viewing the “what’s new” list. I see a different way.
Thanks for your efforts.

Thank you Matrix and the gang!!!! [&o][&o][&o][&o][&o]

Only acid I have every taken is citric and the only bone I ever smoked was attached to a pig's ribs at the time and covered in BBQ sauce. [:-]

Thanks for the patch. So far so good. I appreciate the removal of "Float plane thinks that he might possibly see what could be a sub at xx,yy" repeated 50 times. Makes the turn go much faster.

Terminus -> RE: v1.8 Acknowledgements (4/21/2006 5:56:56 PM)

Another thing I appreciate them taking out is the damn "Pilot XYZ get kill number such-and-such"; when it's the KB, that could take FOREVER!

RUPD3658 -> RE: v1.8 Acknowledgements (4/21/2006 6:25:12 PM)

This had it's advantages as you could tell if a certain unit was in the area. I pinned down the location of the AVG this way a few times.

Tanaka -> RE: v1.8 Acknowledgements (4/21/2006 7:25:31 PM)

Great patch Matrix and team!!! Thank you!!! [:D][&o]

Agreed. Pros and cons to it being there. No biggie for me though.

Liking what I see so far[8D]
