TarheelFB -> AI Penalty Logic Bug (4/25/2006 5:06:03 PM)

Pretty sure this is the right place to post it if not please feel free to move it to the right place.

Two nights ago I ran into an AI Penalty Logic Error.

AI was on offense. I was on Defense.

Situation was 3rd down and 5 on my own 5 yard line. They scored a touchdown and I got called for a penalty. They took the penalty placing the ball on the 1 and 1st down. Two downs later it happened again and they took the penalty.

I am using the latest official patch.

I thought I read somewhere on the board about this Bug somewhere on the board a few days ago, but have been unable to locate it again.

what type of Rules where you using? Was this a Custom League or one of the Stock Leagues? Was this a Quick Play game or a League Game? Did you play this game in Coach Mode or in Arcade (gamepad play)? Did you edit any of the Database files? These kind of questios really help out David because since the game has a huge amount of customization, it helps him track down bugs better.

I knew there were going to be more questions I just didn't know what was exactly pertinent.

It was American Rules with a custom 4 team league. A league game in coach mode. The only database editing I can think of is the MainDataDraftFixV2 that is over a FBMAX.com

One other situation I can remember about those plays was that they (the AI team) was losing.

Any other questions I would be glad to answer as long as I can remember it.

tarheel,

just for the sake of the process of elimination try running some games without the maindatafix.. i was the one who did that file; i don't think anything i edited would have affected penalties or penalty logic; though not likely, you never know for sure unless you eliminate that as a possibility.
