Rysyonok -> Camouflaged ships (4/27/2006 4:54:05 AM) In WW2 IJN used a number of camouflage styles - dark grey, decorating ships with trees, painting ships to resemble atolls, painting smaller ships' shapes on large vessels, even using khaki-style color system - a mix of black, grey, and white. ClaudeJ -> RE: Camouflaged ships (7/16/2006 10:28:43 PM) As far as i know, it mostly worked versus ennemy submarines since the stadimeter is very dependent of target aspect. So a fasle aspect mean a bad estimation and then a bad ranging wich usually mean a wasted torpedo.
