osdavis -> 1 000 000 questions -- somebody help me please... (5/12/2006 8:59:48 PM)

Okay, maybe not that many questions, but...

I got this game a couple of weeks ago and have haunted this forum a little bit (of course, i'm playing the game lots and that cuts into my time; tell me if any of this sounds familiar). It's a brilliant game, really. F---ing brilliant. I love it, even though my team is literally the worst in my "association" at present. Learning curve, blah blah blah...

Anyway, i want to gussy up my game! Help!

Assume i know nothing, because i don't...how do i get player pictures? Or where? Online? I have the Lahman database and have been using it, but everybody here talks about getting them and i have no idea how.

In the same vein, how do i get stadium pictures?

Here's another question. I recently downloaded version 1.21. When i double click it, it wants to install. If i'm in the middle of a league, will this kill everything i'm doing?

Okay, so this isn't a million questions, but i realize how ignorant i am, and how tedious this could be.

Somebody help, and thank you for your time!

Os
Denver Zephyrs manager

"Let's go Zephyrs!"

Works for me!

PureSim Baseball has always* been 'upgrade compatible' - which is really an impressive feat on Shaun's part! - so if you started an association with PureSim 2005 Gold, you should be able to upgrade it to 1.21 in the middle of a season, and you should be able to upgrade that to PureSim 2007 when that releases. It takes it a moment - you'll see something like "PureSim has detected that your association needs to be upgraded, please wait" - and, after the upgrade, I don't think its

There should be a download center 'round here sometwhere, and 'google' for 'PureSim player photos' gave me
PureSim Baseball 2005 Gold Edition Player Face Pack for PC Download at GameSpot; I don't remember where I got the ballpark photos I'm using!

* - Once, he was unable to maintain that; it occurred in a major upgrade (I think between 2003 and 2004?), and was mentioned in the forums for community review with a discussion of the feature that required the incompatibility, and was well-documented in the release notes for that verion.

Amaroq,

You may be listed as a "Matrix Hero," but you're my hero. [&o] Thanks for the info on finding player pics. I found stadium pics through a similar route, i.e. search on google. They've got some nice stuff on:

One more question, then. If i have the Gold 2005 version, how much do i have to pay for the new version?

Again, thanks.

Yours,

Os.

PS By the way, "Denver Zephyrs" was reportedly the name the team would have carried, had the Mile High city been chosen for expansion back when Toronto and Seattle were. A shame it was never used in the bigs (i believe it is/was a AAA bunch), though "Colorado Rockies" sounds legit enough.

I have PS 2005 and since PS 2007 is a new version of the game, the cost is $29.99.

29.99

The Denver Zephyrs were in the PCL and moved to New Orleans when the Rockies were born into the NL.
