PadresFan104 -> Mod Site Update Thread (5/22/2006 11:50:41 PM)

In an effort to reduce clutter on the main board with my frequent posts, I'll post all changes and additions to the Mod Website in this thread. I'd also ask that if you have any requests, you post them here as well. I've had over 1000 hits now. Wow.

Here's the URL again: http://web.mac.com/sixwilsons/iWeb/PureSimMods/Main.html

Updates for 5/22/06:

- added file size information for all downloads.
- added MLB Logo Packs for the 2002 season, as well as the 2005 season.
- added a new Face Pack with images from the late 1800s through the 1920s, as well as photos from the Negro Leagues. Thanks to Jeremy LeBlanc for that one!

PadresFan104 -> RE: Mod Site Update Thread (5/23/2006 2:39:25 AM)

Another update today:

Jeff Olsen had put together an amazing set of photo's to use with OOTP. I contacted him and asked him if I could convert them to PureSim format and host the images. He was cool enough to say ok, so I have now added this collection of images (spanning the years 1900 to 1999) to the website. There are over 6900 images in this collection.

Once Jeremy finishes his 1870s - 1920s & Negro Leagues project, we will have just about the entire history of baseball covered!!! Thanks guys!!!

Al

PadresFan104 -> RE: Mod Site Update Thread (5/23/2006 4:27:10 AM)

Ok, one more update for today:

- added a Logo Pack from AngelinOF (logos converted from OOTP) that provides multiple logos for all MLB teams for the past 100 years.
- Now that all of my ballparks are done, I consolidated them into one download.

PadresFan104 -> RE: Mod Site Update Thread (5/23/2006 11:40:27 PM)

All-

I have just one more project to complete and post to the website before turn my attention back to actually playing the game...

Since it's my favorite baseball era, I am going to create a 1970s-1980's MLB Template. It will include ballparks for all of the teams, the correct league structure, as well as logos. I will post the ballparks and logos seperately as well. It will not include rosters, making it suited for Lahman or fictional play.

Since ballpark photos for the older parks aren't as easy to come by, I can't promise that the ballparks will look as good as the 2006 version. However, if you have photos to donate to my project, please let me know.

Thanks, Al

Jliven61 -> RE: Mod Site Update Thread (5/24/2006 5:28:08 AM)

Kudos to PadresFan for these great mods! Player photos look great and the current MLB parks look super as well. These mods really enhance the entire PureSim experience!

PadresFan104 -> RE: Mod Site Update Thread (5/24/2006 8:26:17 AM)

You're welcome bigpapa....

Another update tonight...

- Added a logo pack for the 2005 Golden Baseball League, an independent minor league in the southwest. I created these logos myself, and they use transparency. I have yet to try them in PS2007, but I think they should work fine.

I'll probably create a new logo pack for the 2006 season at some pont since the teams have changed.

PadresFan104 -> RE: Mod Site Update Thread (5/26/2006 4:12:09 AM)

Another update!

I've added two more files with more on the way...

- I added a 1980's MLB Logo pack which has logos that the 24 teams used in the 80's. This will be the logo set that I use in my upcoming 1970's-1980's MLB Template.

- I added the first PSA submission to the website tonight. It's from captskillet, and it's a 30 team "Greatest Players" Association. Should be fun to experiment with!!! Thanks capt!!!!

Al

NYM86 -> RE: Mod Site Update Thread (5/26/2006 10:19:11 AM)

Does anyone know the password for captskillets All-Time Greatest League??? I can't start the league because I don't know the password. Thanks.

PadresFan104 -> RE: Mod Site Update Thread (5/26/2006 10:50:56 AM)

I replied in the other thread...

PadresFan104 -> RE: Mod Site Update Thread (5/26/2006 11:17:38 AM)

More updates this morning.

- I posted my brand new 1980's Ballpark set. Some of the pictures are more "grainy" than the 2006 ballparks, but that's what happens when you go back in time!!!

- I also posted a 1980 template which includes both my latest 80's logos, and 80's ballparks.

I'll work with captskillet to get a new version of the Greatest Teams PSA file without any commissioner password.

PadresFan104 -> RE: Mod Site Update Thread (5/29/2006 6:45:24 AM)

Just added another logo pack sent to me from rmayer32. Very nice set.

PadresFan104 -> RE: Mod Site Update Thread (5/29/2006 9:32:06 AM)

Another update for the weekend. I've created a set of 12 Classic Ballparks based on the images floating around the net from the old PC game called "Old Time Baseball." These are some of the ballparks I had to remove from the site last week due to the fact that they were not 1024x768 images.

Do you guys like these images? If so, I can create ballpark files for the other fields from the Tony Larussa Baseball game that used the same style of fields.

Al

DreamTeams -> RE: Mod Site Update Thread (5/29/2006 11:34:32 AM)

That would be great if you provided all of the stadiums from Tony Lony Larussa.

jacmar -> RE: Mod Site Update Thread (5/29/2006 3:38:06 PM)

I agree...Any old ballparks are great to see. Good luck and keep up the great work!

PadresFan104 -> RE: Mod Site Update Thread (5/29/2006 7:31:54 PM)

Ok guys, thanks for the feedback!

galaril -> RE: Mod Site Update Thread (5/30/2006 12:58:21 AM)

PadresFan you mentioned on FOF Central you would have a2006 roster psa on your site in the next week. I was wondering if that was still going to happen? Thanks.

Yep, I think I quoted a week from last Friday, so I still have 4 days left. [:)]

KG Erwin -> RE: Mod Site Update Thread (5/30/2006 7:43:45 PM)

Al, if you could complete the Classic Ballpark set by including Shibe Park, Old Wrigley Field and Cleveland Municipal Stadium, that would be great.  [&o]

PadresFan104 -> RE: Mod Site Update Thread (5/30/2006 7:45:17 PM)

With regards to the 2006 Association File, I'll probably wait until after the 1st of June to post it.  I got a note from Apple (who hosts my site) that I am about to exceed my transfer quota (25GB) for the month of May, and that it would cause my site to be suspended.  The good news is that if my site does get suspended for overusage, it would only be for 2 weeks.

KG Erwin -> RE: Mod Site Update Thread (5/31/2006 7:32:52 PM)

Al, how's those parks coming along?

I'd do them myself, but haven't gotten the hang of adjusting flight animations.

PadresFan104 -> RE: Mod Site Update Thread (5/31/2006 8:36:14 PM)

The three additional parks are done, will post them later today.

Galaril - There's going to be a delay of about another week on the 2006 rosters I'm afraid. Circumstances beyond my control.
