Buckeye5 -> No withdrawal option for Brit DDs in Karachi (5/23/2006 4:58:19 AM)

I'm playing the long campaign as the Allies against the computer. It is early June, 1942. On June 1st I received notice that the British needed to withdraw 1 battleship and 2 tin cans. No problem--I've got lots of British warships parked at Colombo doing nothing.

I formed a task force with one of the R-class battleships and the DDs Vendetta and Vampire, and sent it back to Karachi. When it arrived, I disbanded the task force. I went into the Karachi port screen, clicked on the battleship, and sent it home. But when I clicked on Vampire and Vendetta, the Withdraw button isn't there. The info screen still indicates that the British need to withdraw 2 DDs.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? Are the old "V" type destroyers unsuitable for withdrawal for some reason, or is this a problem in the game?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Vendetta and Vampire are Australian, not British.

Ah...that would do it.

Chalk up another one for the stupid newbie file.

Thanks for the prompt response, though.

Check the nationality of the Vs. I suspect you'll find them to be Australian.

All of the "V" and "N" DDs are all Austrailian.

Vampire, Vendetta, Voyager
Napier, Nepal, Nestor, Nizam
