Budgie -> Peace Treaty Means WAR! (6/8/2006 2:37:19 AM)

Playing Austria; allied with Prussia. Forced France to surrender.

Made up wonderful peace treaty (allowed 4800 points for surrender terms).

My treaty gave provinces to Prussia and Austria and as well a forced peace to both of us for one year and a lowering of France readiness. Total 4430 points of terms. Sent it off.

Next term France ratifies a surrender agreement with Prussia (ceding two territories) and Prussia rejects my treaty.

I do NOT get a another chance for another treaty and am left out in the cold.

So . . before I march on Berlin and burn it to the ground and turn what’s left into Austrian farmland. [:@]

Someone Please tell this diplomaticly deprived person.

What did I do wrong?

"What did I do wrong?"

Seems you should NOT have included Prussia in your treaty.  At all.  You should have just used your 4800 peace points on yourself, bilaterally, between you and France.  By giving goodies to Prussia in your peace treaty you made it a three way treaty...which of course Prussia then had every right to veto (being a party to it).

Note that Prussia had its own peace score racked up, and was able to get its own seperate peace treaty vs. France, no problem.  So no matter how faithful an ally they were, you needn't have felt guilty about excluding them from yours!
