dreamtheatervt -> D-I College teams (6/8/2006 4:37:55 AM)

I was wondering if anyone was working on completeing the D-I teams that need to be done, or at least the BCS conference teams.

BryanS1017 -> RE: D-I College teams (6/8/2006 4:44:45 AM)

I will work on West Virginia for starters, may do rest of big east.....

DONMVP -> RE: D-I College teams (6/8/2006 6:30:25 AM)

I`LL work on Louisville , i have that pretty much done just need to touch it up .

boud66 -> RE: D-I College teams (6/12/2006 8:53:31 PM)

I have done Boston College and Clemson, to start completing the ACC. Here's a screen shot (hopefully):

boud66 -> RE: D-I College teams (6/12/2006 8:59:09 PM)

This is a little grainy. I'll try jpeg next time. Anyways, I can upload these, but I do have a couple issues:
1) Clemson's white jerseys have white lettering. How do I correct this.
2) And Boston College's numerals are supposed to in Italics and I just couldn't get this right! Any suggestions, such as the particular numbers should be a certain width?
These two things shouldn't stop me from uploading, especially if anyone wants them.

I am working on Maryland as well.

Breeze -> RE: D-I College teams (6/13/2006 6:15:08 AM)

I can help you on 1; 2 I'm not quite sure what you're asking.

The color of the lettering is determined by a file called NameColour.txt, located in the directory with the uniforms.  It consists of 3 numbers; these numbers are the RGB values of the color you want.

You can just make a simple text file yourself if you know which color you want (black for instance would be 0,0,0), but if you don't want to mess with that, you can use the ColourGen program, loated in your MaxFB directory, to make the file automatically.  It'll let you choose your color and then it makes the file.

boud66 -> RE: D-I College teams (6/13/2006 11:11:58 AM)

Thanks, Breeze -

Didn't know it was that easy!

About the second question, here's a picture of what I'm asking: notice how the numbers seem to overlap into others. I was wondering when you're using Italicized(sp?) numbers do the numbers have to be spaced further apart or do they require a certain width in order to prevent the overlapping effect. I was just looking for suggestions on how to fix this.

Breeze -> RE: D-I College teams (6/13/2006 6:45:26 PM)

Ah, I see now.

If you look at a U7 file that's in the game, you see how big the numbers are.  At some point between the 0 and 1, for instance, is where the 0's territory ends and the 1's territory begins.  As long as the numbers fit in their space, you won't have overlapping.

I haven't tried to use italicized numbers yet so I'm not sure where the boundaries are.  But if you slim down your numbers a bit you should be able to make it work.

boud66 -> RE: D-I College teams (6/13/2006 9:08:07 PM)

I agree, Breeze, all it takes is a little patience (when I have it!). I'll try again later.
But I do have Maryland done. Here's the home and away. You may notice, that I make the socks to look like NFL uniform standards. Truth is, I just don't care for the college look in that area.

Magnum357 -> RE: D-I College teams (6/15/2006 3:28:43 AM)

At the rate these College Uni's are being produced, I think it will be very easy too make an NCAA league.  [:)]

David Winter -> RE: D-I College teams (6/15/2006 8:42:21 AM)

DONMVP

I noticed in your screen captures, there are no player shadows. Did you turn those off or is the game simply not rendering them? I don't see any goal post shadows either so I'm assuming you've turned them off.. but wanted to check.

DONMVP -> RE: D-I College teams (6/15/2006 10:55:53 AM)

DAVID tell you the truth , i `m not sure if i have turned it off or not . I`ll have to check i might have a while back because it kept saying my frame rate eas low . Not sure if i did turn it off . Basically all ive been playing it is a few mins each time i make a uniform , see how it looks in action .So i would`nt have thought twice about shadows.Hopefully start playing games this weekend , i`ll check that out .Thanks for heads up.

boud66 -> RE: D-I College teams (6/15/2006 9:13:58 PM)

DON,

When I tested my uniforms at high detail, it gave me a similar message, so I adjusted it to medium. Just curious, did it say that it was playing at a rate like under 25 frames per second? I think that's what my message read.

DONMVP -> RE: D-I College teams (6/15/2006 9:21:00 PM)

yes same thing , but since i really was`nt into playing games yet .The shadow thing was no biggie . I` FIGURED THE FRAME THING WAS TELLING ME MAYBE I SHOULD SOMEDAY GET A BETTER GRAPHIC CARD . OOP sorry about big type , to lazy to change .

local8h -> RE: D-I College teams (6/16/2006 3:28:25 AM)

Hey Guys were can i downloads these uniforms? i dont see much new things at FBMAX:(, is there another sites.

dreamtheatervt -> RE: D-I College teams (6/16/2006 3:42:32 AM)

Look in the unsorted files.

boud66 -> RE: D-I College teams (6/16/2006 6:59:04 AM)

Local8h,

I just downloaded BC and Clemson. Maryland, NC State and Wake Forest are next. I'll submit a preview of Wake shortly. If no one claims Cincinnati, I've started on that one. Probably won't have in done for a day or two even though it looks pretty easy. Lately, I've been working out of town at night so I've had plenty of time to make the others. I'm back in town as of today, so they may take me longer to make. But I'll get them out when possible.

boud66 -> RE: D-I College teams (6/16/2006 7:09:46 AM)

Here's the Wake Forest preview, this should complete the teams for the ACC:

boud66 -> RE: D-I College teams (6/16/2006 7:11:29 AM)

Here's an in game. Like I said in a previous post, I'll upload Wake, NC State, and Maryland shortly. Be sure to check the unsorted files at fbmax.

Magnum357 -> RE: D-I College teams (6/17/2006 11:15:31 AM)

Wake Forest Uni's look good, but I think the "WF" logo on the Helmet might be off.  I'm not sure on that though.

Brockleigh -> RE: D-I College teams (6/18/2006 4:32:28 PM)

Nope, the WF logo is right on... as an ACC fan, (Go Clemson) I can verify that

boud66 -> RE: D-I College teams (6/18/2006 9:24:10 PM)

The Wake Forest logo is according to the website. I download pictures of the uniforms from the website and go from there. I admit it was hard to find a decent logo for the helmet. One that didn't require a lot of filling in. So I decided to use the Times New Roman font. It seemed to work. Although, if I find a good enough logo to use then I'll fix it.
