Pandemic -> Question on scenarios / campaigns (6/13/2006 3:10:45 PM)

Are there any campaigns in the game that link several scenarios together? i.e. Korea 1951-2 links with Korea 1952-3 ?
If not, how large are the scenarios - are there any that cover the whole korean war or 1941-45 on the Eastern Front etc?

I'm not sure about Korea but the Fire in the East scenario covers the operation Barbarosa from '41 to '45 on the eastern front. It's a monster though with thousands, literally, of units and some 400+ turns. I did two separate pbem games with Karri E. from Finland and he beat me both times so now I guess I'm obsessed with FitE to see what can be done in my play style, etc. to win at that scenario. I've even started an AAR about it.

To answer your first question: no, there is no campaign system allowing for a linking of individual scenarios.

Cheers,

I believe there is a 1950-3 scenario- which uses a modified .exe.

Not a formal one, anyway. One can put something together using pen & paper rules, though.

There is the series of scenarios "Road to Moscow" whcich breaks down Barbarossa into 8 monster scenarios. But the scenarios are not linked in the sense that the results of one scenario are not carried over into the next scenario. For that you have to play the big scenario that covers the whole campaign that is also included.
