panzerariete -> can Fire in east play solitair? (6/17/2006 1:41:11 AM)

I know Fire in east is designed as PEBM game, but I really can't play 400 turn games with opponent in 400 days. I tried to play solitair with ACOW version, it was much too easy for me. Now with new potent AI, I want to try playing solitair again. Do you think it will still be too easy for human player as Germany?

can the author of this scenario make a human-PO version?

Short answer is yes to your first question, and maybe for the second, but it'll sure take a loooooot of work and time, both in design implementation and playtest, all the more with a beast of such magnitude.

You still can play it solitaire, but in hotseat mode - that's about 800 turns to play until completion though...

thnaks for your reply

I guess you are the author of this scenario, thank you very much for your efforts to contribute such nice scenario for the community . I really appreciate those private amateur game designers, they spent hugh amount of time to create something for all community, and they don't expect any physical(like money) reward after such monster job. Being a businessman I really can't understand the motive. I guess this is the strength of "interests"

Well, thanks for the kind words but I'm not one of the three designers of Fire in the East [;)].

I think I've seen at least one of them (going by the name of LLv_snefens or something to that effect) on those boards lately, in the AAR sub-forum. Maybe you can ask him directly where he sees the development of this scenario heading, PO-wise.

Cheers,

Marc
