Cringer -> Moving between eras. (6/18/2006 5:30:20 AM)

Can't get anything to match my question on search, so forgive me if this has been gone over (which I am sure it has in some way).

When moving between baseball eras, is the game supposed to adjust things itself? I.E. When moving out of the deadball era will homers start to pick up and the like?

I have not seen this happen in my current career yet, and have started to get a bit impatient and have moved the homer slidder up a little to start to get away from 6 as the league leader(I am now into the early 20's).

Yes, the game should be able to do a decent job of roughly mirroring baseball eras.

Are you playing with real players or fictional ones?

Fictional for the career I am mentioning. The 1922 season had 18 HRs by the league leader, a new record. This was after a full season with the HR slider adjusted up 5 points to 55.

I may just be in too much of a hurry wanting to see the stats start to go up BTW, I just wanted to make sure the game was supposed to move the 'engine' through eras for me. I will wait and see what happens. Hell, the deadball era can end in the late 30's for all I care, it is fictional after all. [:)]
