firfurcillo3 -> Crete Strategy? (newbe) (6/20/2006 9:03:40 PM)

Well, I read the manual... several times. Also read various articles and the strategy guide, read tutorials and think: well I'm going to play one of those little scenarios like... crete 41.

Ok, turn 3 with the germans and my units are a slimy mass of divided units unable to get but the worst defended hex. All I conquest in my turn, the AI retakes easily in the following turn. Can't make any type of organized attack, the movement is slooow and those units in horrendous strenghts of 1-2 [&:]

Any ideas on strategy, or did I choose the wrong scenario?

Thanks

Crete is very heavy going for the Germans. Drop your units directly onto the airfields (never mind that they're defended) on the first turn and then use your airpower to drive on other objectives. You should be able to get a marginal victory or at least a draw.
