Claymore Cut -> Sacrifice Bunt % (6/26/2006 8:32:52 AM)

Shaun, the Sacrifice bunt chances seem a little off. More often then not a pitcher attempting the bunt will ground into a FC, even with an average+ runner at first. Could you possibly look intot he coding for the next patch?

Also, what ratings handle ones ability to execute a Sacrifice Bunt?

Don't forget the other team's defensive ratings and alignments.  These also play a part in determining the outcome of any given plate appearance.

If you, as the human manager, have the situational awareness of a obvious bunt attempt, the AI manager knows this, too.  I've learned that the in-game AI isn't a pushover, by any means. 

Having said that, I have no problems with the success rate of sac bunts.   If anything, I sometimes let the pitcher hit away, which could result in a solid base hit or even a double once in awhile. Heck, I've had the AI do the same thing to me.  Shaun's done an excellent job of "smartening up" the AI managers. 

As for your questions, do you really think that the designer wants to give away all his secrets? [:D]

I'd think it'd be a combo of contact and eye.
