The 161st Infantry Division launched the next attack. It was commanded by General der Infanterie Siegfried Hänicke [image]http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/4094/haenickesiegfried1lx0.jpg[/image] The attack was in the sector of the 364th Infantry Regitment supported by the 77th KG Stukas. The attack hit an area held by the Soviet 85th Rifle Div commanded by Gen Major a.V. Bondovskiy The Germans were able to push into Soviet territory but the attack never acheived much ground. The Germasn brought up their ATG and Morter Companies but stubborn Soveit resistance prevented any movement forward. The Germans halted just after dark. 34 soldiers were dead and 74 were wounded. 6 Engineers were also wounded. The Germans also suffered some equiptment losses 1 Motorcycle, 7 MMGs, 2 HMGs, 12 Hvy ATR soldiers, 3 37mm Atgs, 1 50mmMorter, 3 81mm Morters, 4 horse teams, and 3 trucks were Destroyed or heavily damaged. 1 Stuka was also damaged. The soviets had 24 killed and 42 wounded. Their artillery and morters was heavily hit by stuka and counterbatery fire. They lost 2 122mm Howitzers, 4 85mm Morters, 5 82mm Morters, 5 120mm Morters and 2 horse teams. They also lost 2 MMGs, 1 HMG, and 3 45mm ATGs.
