Taiko -> Problem (7/4/2006 6:46:26 AM)

Folks,
a little background - I've been playing SP for as long as its been out. I love the game.

This is my problem - When i hit Y during a turn the game freezes up and I have to maually stop it. This wouldn't be so bad if I could start at the last turn, but I can't. It corrupts the entire campaign. Gone.

I read the FAQ, but going from version 92 of my video driver back to version 44.03 or whatver it is is not an acceptable option. This is a show stopper, I just went 4 battles into Screaming Eagles and lost everything. I have taken out keys from my keyboard when they interfere, the Windows key especially, but you need the Y key often.

Please help, I'm going crazy here.

I suggest you go to the top of the forum and note your problem in the "technical help" area..
Specify which OS you are using and details of your computer..There are enough geeks here willing to help.....

m10bob - I don't see a technical section so I'll just post here. I've seen other help issues here.  I play on WinXP, latest updates, with 8.40 ver. of SP.  I have an Nvidia Geforce 6800 card.

Alby - Didnt know about that site, thanks for the hookup.  I'll try there also.

EDIT :

More about the problem: I've tried using a generic driver, the gmae won't load.
I upgraded to the most recent driver, 91.?? and it still crashes. When I try to start the scenario again after crash, it cant find the OOB files and crashes again. The whole campaign vanishes.

Do you have a "pop-up blocker" running?

At the very top of all of these forums is an area called "Tech Support For Gamers By Gamers"....They have helped many of us....
Nothing wrong with posting your problem here, but the "geeks" look in that other section specifically to help folks....
