Mods asside...does the game include player pics?

No, it is not licensed by MLB, so it doesn't come with real teams, players, or pictures.  You can import real players (no pics) from the Lahman database however, which is included.

There are free packs of photos, though, going back to the 1800s.  Easy to find, download, and install.

Your right- except the install- I saw no instructions at download or anything on websites/manual how to do so. Any hints how to do this properly?

It pretty much just amounts to, for example, putting 1920s photos in the 1920s folder in your mod directory.  There can be a little more to it, but that's it for the most part.

All I did was download the big zip file from Padre's website, and I unzipped them into my /mods/faces directory (which has the decade folders in there, but they're empty at initial install).  Then there's a button you have to press next time you run your association to get it to automatically attach faces to ballplayers.
