The more I think abut it, the more I think that starting pitching is UNDERvalued, as the endurance rating SHOULD be considered. This really throws off conditions in the "pre-closer" era. Now, on the plus side, the distribution of saves is much better represented now. However, the issue of trade values seems to dominate discussion these days. The issue of endurance matters even more, IMHO, with the relatively small numbers of complete games thrown by pre-1960 pitchers. Maybe it isn't their values, per se, but the tendency of AI managers to pull starters too early.
