slammer -> scenarios ans spwaw version (7/22/2000 9:27:00 PM)

I notice most scenario downloads are listed with a version number for spwaw. Does this mean they will only work with that version of spwaw or is it a " try it and see what happens" situation?

No, this refers to the scenario version, as in my "Dicker Max", 1.0, means first release. If I happen to change say, the txt file, or some other aspect of the scenario, might make it version1.1, and so on. Hope this helps. ------------------ Mike Amos Meine Ehre Heisst Treue

Mike I understand the version for the scenario itself but I have seen scenario's that will say for spwaw ver 2.0 or 2.2

Here is how it works. You can play any scenarios in the game or in the Depot with version 2.3. What you cannot do is play backward. That is, if you have SPWAW version 1.0 ONLY, then you cannot play scenarios designed in versions 2 and above. That is because the map program in version 2.0 and above is different. So as it stands now, you would need at least version 2.0 OF THE GAME or higher to play any scenarios in the Depot.
