larryfulkerson -> FitE LarryFulkerson vs Okimaw (7/20/2006 7:47:11 AM)

Larry Fulkerson is the Axis player, Okimaw is the Soviet player, we finished the Decision in the North ( Okimaw won ) and thought we'd do a round or two of FitE.

Axis turn 1, first combat round. Here's the front lines before a lot of stuff has moved:

I'm using my MPs as recon, the engineers are being moved to where I think I'm going to need them later, the railroad engineers are being shipped to places where the rails are going to need repairing later and the general orders to the troops are to clear the roads to get the panzers moving to their objectives.

Here's the objectives and a rough draft of the route to get to them there:

I dropped the Brandenburgers East of Riga to help contain the defenders there....to prevent them from escaping to the East over the roads, although they can still get out by sea so far:

Okimaw -> FitE Red Army Turn 4 (7/30/2006 2:51:24 AM)

The Axis onslaught has been pretty relentless in these opening rounds. This has led to some of the historic type choices they were left with in 41, people for time. The question that leads to is just how many people to buy the time? I've been pulling back from the east, moving stuff west from the east and south. I'm trying to slow the Axis down and make them pay heavily for some of the urban areas that will fall anyways. Here are a few screen shots, a movie, and the Red Army losses so far.

Okimaw -> FitE Red Army Turn 5 (7/30/2006 9:14:58 PM)

Here's how the Red Army defensive lines are starting to shape up. It's still too early too try any major efforts west of Moscow. It would probably lead to massive losses of men and equipment that will be needed in some later turns.
