Andrew Brown -> A couple of questions (7/20/2006 9:59:27 AM)

I have a couple of questions about this game:

- Is this an upgrade to WaW or a complete replacement? If I already own WaW do I get a discount of some type?

- Is the new "spy" feature optional? Can it be turned off?

Thanks,
Andrew

It's a new game. Spies/Sigint/Security are not a game option as they are integral to the new game.

How about the ability to separate automatic supply from production? I sometimes like to leave supplies on automatic, while still controlling production.

And here is a suggestion on research. As I understand the present system, yuou have to add research points on every turn. It would save a lot of micromanagement if the amount of research that one added would keep being added on subsequent moves until it upgrades, unless the player changes it. After all, If I need 8 research points to improve my tank attack against infantry, it is likely that I will keep adding ponits on subsequent moves until the cap is reached; otherwise why would I waste the research.

Also when production is on automatic, it should be automatic that the AI take research and supply opoints from conquered territory FIRST, because those points cannot be used for production. Only after the conquered territories are dry would research and supply points be taken from producing territories if needed.

These suggestions are only to make the game more streamlined, especially for beginner or lazy players like me (the latter only [:D]).

That question makes sense... someone from Matrix get the answer ?

Yes, that's still possible.

I have found that this isn't always true. Lots of game players start and stop research all the time for various reasons.

If you are lazy, you'll never get very far in terms of skill with these strategy games. You have to do almost everything manually to really get the hang of it.

I dunno, I'm doing OK as the Axis with everything on automatic by giving the Germans an extra 5 points attack and 500 extra supplies...[;)]

The computer can be beaten ( even if you are playing on a harder level ), but if you try PBEM against a good human player, you'll end up having to face the music. [;)]
