puresimmer -> New Patch 1.22 (7/22/2006 4:39:28 PM)

I got some unexpected free time this morning and have put together a new patch

http://www.psmultiplayer.150m.com/PureSim2007-SetupRelease-v122Patch.exe

Here are the changes since 1.20:
=====================

- Tweak: Another attempt at working around the issue where PureSim won't launch for some users (I have no idea if this will help or not, because I can't reproduce the darn issue)

- Fix: In some pre-1920 associations the game would sometimes get caught in a loop while the GM/AI was thinking

- Tweak: Reduced chance of grounding into a double play on a hit and run

- Tweak: Greatly reduced the chance of a runner being doubled up on a hit and run when the batter hits a fly ball to the OF. Note, on Line drives there is still a significant chance he'll get doubled up

If any of the 3 or 4 guys having the "black screen on launch" issue see this, please post here to see if 1.22 makes any difference at all... Thanks.

Shaun I would get that with 119 and 120 and most times clicking on black screen or hitting esc would bring me to the main menu. Only once in a while would it just hang. (1 out of 25 maybe) With debugging the addins I have only started PS a couple hundred times in the last week. [X(]

I was hoping this release had more addin capability. Could you add better error handling; I need more info - If I had $1 for every "item not found in this collection" I'd have lots of money. Anyway to tell me *which* item not found? And maybe even line numbers where the error occured?

Awesome!  Great customer service.

Thanks for listening Shaun... Have you looked into baserunners advancing on 2 outs when an error is made in the outfield? Right now, they act as if they weren't running on contact which costs a base or two.

bump

ValinFel -> RE: New Patch 1.22 (7/22/2006 9:54:57 PM)

I can't seem to download this patch.  I get an internet explorer error that states, "the connection with the server was reset".  Any ideas?

jono -> RE: New Patch 1.22 (7/22/2006 11:03:06 PM)

Didn't make any difference for me but I'm now confused.  I've never had a black screen at launch.  When I hit the play button on the game menu the computer makes some noise like its doing something but the game menu stays on then no matter when I hit the play button again, whether 1 minute or 6 hours later, I get a little box telling me that Puresim is already running.

verizon32 -> RE: New Patch 1.22 (7/22/2006 11:17:50 PM)

jono

what your resolution on your computer screen?

Try changing the size down and then try loading the game again.

wlfcards -> RE: New Patch 1.22 (7/22/2006 11:47:14 PM)

I also cannot run the new patch.  Reduced resolution and still did not run.  Running WindowsME

jono -> RE: New Patch 1.22 (7/22/2006 11:55:01 PM)

My resolution was/now is again 1024x768.  When I changed it to the next lowest 848x480 and tried to run Puresim I got a little box saying that Puresim could not change my screen resolution to 1024x768 and that I should change it to 1024x768.

akcranker -> RE: New Patch 1.22 (7/22/2006 11:56:37 PM)

I seriously think that with whatever changes Shaun made to make Puresim IE7 compatible it made Puresim only able to run on XP SP2.

jono -> RE: New Patch 1.22 (7/23/2006 12:05:44 AM)

I think so too, but what do I know about computers, I'm lucky I know how to turn it on.

jono -> RE: New Patch 1.22 (7/23/2006 12:12:41 AM)

Just a thought, If anyone reading this has Puresim2007 v1.20 running on an OS other than XP post a reply with your OS.  I was fine with beta version 1.18 but it went to heck when I upgraded to 1.20.  I'm running Windows 98.

santo10 -> RE: New Patch 1.22 (7/23/2006 1:27:09 AM)

Can somebody direct me to the 1.18 patch or tell what I have to do to make the game load again? I am running windows ME but haven't been able to load the game since 1.18.

Thanks,

Ron K.

Re: 1.18 patch location: Keeping getting "file not found" error.

Thanks for trying to help.

Bustoff -> RE: New Patch 1.22 (7/23/2006 4:42:51 AM)

I can not install this patch. When I run it, I get a whole string of "decompression errors" beginning with the tables.dat file. Any suggestions?

SittingDuck -> RE: New Patch 1.22 (7/23/2006 5:04:05 AM)

Someone posted v1.18 and v1.19 on their own site.  Let me see if I can find that link.

SittingDuck -> RE: New Patch 1.22 (7/23/2006 5:11:05 AM)

OK, go to this thread and look about the middle post.  SanPurdue has uploaded both patches to a site:

akcranker -> RE: New Patch 1.22 (7/23/2006 5:39:38 AM)

Patch 1.22 loaded just fine for me

RedArgo -> RE: New Patch 1.22 (7/23/2006 3:44:01 PM)

I loaded 1.22 and I am still having the same issue as before. Thanks for trying.

Bill
