BleacherBum -> Roster Page, stats are inconsistent during post-season (7/24/2006 7:23:01 AM)

In the Roster Expanded View, 3 columns (AB, vsL and vsR) only show the playoff numbers. This is inconsistent with the rest of the stat columns, which are for the regular season just completed. The ABs is especially troubling.

This raises another question: Why do all the detail stats, such as L/R splits, have to be purged the day the playoffs start? Can't these be retained until the post season is finished? Some of these would be really helpful when making lineup decisions during the playoffs, and also for cut/re-sign decisions before the year is over.

Well, here's my vote for keeping the full year of split stats instead of resetting so I can just see playoff split stats (too small a sample to be meaningful).

Putting the ABs back into the roster view should be an easy fix, because I have to believe ABs are stored in another place with all those other summary stats, and not only in the split table.

Finally, I wonder about the CPU AI and these vanishing stats. This means that either 1) the CPU ignores split stats entirely when making lineup and in-game decisions, or 2) those decisions are severely impaired in the playoffs due to the lack of information.
