Kankakee Illinois, Greater Kankakee Airport, has a B17, B24, and B25 this weekend. I'm building a house a couple miles from the airport and got to watch these magnificent beasts circle overhead all day long yesterday. It really made my day, as it was really hot and muggy, a miserable day for a carpenter. If you live anywhere nearby, I hope you got the chance to go see them.
The B24 is the last flyable one left. You can get a 30 minute ride for 450 bucks (tax deductible). I wish I was rich!
Sorry for the off topic post, but I was enthralled by the sight of these and know that a few forum members are within 60 miles or so. It is worth the drive.
