Hello,

does anybody know what values the bridge and airfield attacks are based on ?? It appears to me that bridge attacks are mainly influenced by the units artillery strength, but I don't have a clue what the main factor in airfield attacks is (still wondering if it is Anti-Air strength or artillery, too).

Airfield attacks work just the same way as ordinary attacks except that (provided they are made over at least two hexes distance) all non-air units in the hex are ignored.

How about the ability of Air units to attack any bridge enemy or not?  That way the Soviets could use their airpower to bust bridges behind their retreating units and deny them to the Axis without having to endanger a land unit. And if aircraft could destroy their own airfields they could deny them to the enemy etc.

Yeah. This does come up every now and then.

So according to this: If I use air units to attack they will fight the battle as "bombarding" (according to the combat report) units using the artillery strength, whereas any fighters on air superiority will "support" the attack (again the combat report) but uising what?? The artillery strength or AA Strength??

Thanks for the clarification [:)]

AA strength. But they'll only fight aircraft which are airborne (i.e., enemy fighters).
