Actually Lahtinen is the man..

JEB Davis -> RE: SPWAW Enhanced FV (Final Version) (8/25/2006 5:49:48 PM)

I was curious about how many people thought the new in-cover graphic covered too much terrain?

Hmm...I kinda liked it. The "old" one looks too "regular" for foxholes...looks more like a stand of leafless trees.
Never really liked the "round" sandbag entrenchments either.

Alby -> RE: SPWAW Enhanced FV (Final Version) (8/25/2006 7:23:46 PM)

Cant decide which one I like better
Maybe we should 'poll' it.

The new one doesn't look "bad" it just covers up so much of the underlying terrain it dominates the hex. The round sandbags are right out.

Alby -> RE: SPWAW Enhanced FV (Final Version) (8/25/2006 9:39:25 PM)

did we ever have a replacement for the round sandbags??

Hmmm....I seem to recall having done something a few years ago. Can't recall what exactly, though...

Alby -> RE: SPWAW Enhanced FV (Final Version) (9/2/2006 6:57:17 PM)

FINAL changes.....

Lt Mortar units are Speed 9 in line with the rest of the regular infantry, Med Mortar units (up to 82mm) are Speed 4 to allow them to move a bit more easily, all other mortars are Speed 0 or 1, depending on the size. Lt MG units are Speed 9, Med MGs are Speed 8, able to keep pretty close to the regular infantry, Hvy MGs are Speed 6, AAMGs vary according to their mounting and size. Adjusted all Costs accordingly. While not exactly what was proposed, the change should be acceptable to most. One reason why it was raised was that the UK 3” mortar units in all OOBs had Speeds of 4, while the other 80-82mm mortars were all Speed 1. The tubes and plates were pretty close in weight between the various weapons; no reason why the Brits should get extra movement and the US or Germans not.

Hello...

Sounds ok.

Alby -> RE: SPWAW Enhanced FV (Final Version) (9/3/2006 2:37:34 AM)

Enhanced FV is ready to go, just need someone to upload it...
[:(]

Nighthawk12 -> RE: SPWAW Enhanced FV (Final Version) (9/3/2006 3:04:53 AM)

Where is the download ??

Alby -> RE: SPWAW Enhanced FV (Final Version) (9/3/2006 3:07:56 AM)

The file is not posted yet because no one who can upload to the FTP site is around, its sitting here ready to go, has been all day.
[:(]

Nighthawk12 -> RE: SPWAW Enhanced FV (Final Version) (9/3/2006 3:09:32 AM)

That was our plan, to have it out for the holiday weekend, and we still might, but some of us do not have acces to the FTP, which, hopefully will get changed

Nighthawk12 -> RE: SPWAW Enhanced FV (Final Version) (9/3/2006 3:38:15 AM)

Thats the funny thing about permissions on various sites.
Sometimes you can, lots of times you cant.
[:@]
I guess I will keep my eyes out for it.

BTW, anything in there for the canadians ??

Well, we should have access to this particular FTP, but alas we do not.
Only a select few seem to have it.
[:(]

Some things have been done to Canadians but dont recall them at the moment, the list of changes are posted somewhere.

Nighthawk12 -> RE: SPWAW Enhanced FV (Final Version) (9/3/2006 4:19:16 AM)

Just that I cannot remember any changes from what have been posted.
I guess that I will have to wait and shoot. . .[8D]
back into wait mode I guess.
[:D]

Alby -> RE: SPWAW Enhanced FV (Final Version) (9/3/2006 4:49:26 AM)

For those of you who have High speed, you can try this temporary download site...
it is a bit tricky, you have to click "free" then wait for a timer to count down, then follow instructions.
It only allows so many downloads per hour or something like that.
[8|]
anyway, here it is for the lucky few..

azraelck -> RE: SPWAW Enhanced FV (Final Version) (9/3/2006 5:01:30 AM)

Allright! I've been waiting for this one... Thanks.

Nighthawk12 -> RE: SPWAW Enhanced FV (Final Version) (9/3/2006 5:41:36 AM)

I guess I will wait until it is something a little more reliable.
I have been bumped the last few times that I have tried it.

Alby -> RE: SPWAW Enhanced FV (Final Version) (9/3/2006 5:54:45 AM)

The file was uploaded to the FTP site.

now having trouble with FTP link as the name of the file was changed
and of course the guy left before the link was checked..
[:@]
I give up for the night.
[>:]
hopefully tomorrow.

DROregon -> RE: SPWAW Enhanced FV (Final Version) (9/3/2006 6:26:43 AM)

It says 3 downloads so far, but I get hung up....

KG Erwin -> RE: SPWAW Enhanced FV (Final Version) (9/3/2006 6:37:38 AM)

I got it. Thanks, guys.  [:D]

DROregon -> RE: SPWAW Enhanced FV (Final Version) (9/3/2006 7:46:41 AM)

Well, I got the download, but ModSwap can't get past 1005.wav.
Is this a bad download, & can I fix it somehow?

azraelck -> RE: SPWAW Enhanced FV (Final Version) (9/3/2006 8:35:17 AM)

I got it fine, but have not tried to install it yet. Been reading too much.
