RAM -> US VF Squadron upgrade (8/5/2006 9:04:31 PM)

Hi.

When do US VF Squadrons see their max aircraft numbers raised from 27 aircraft to 36 (I think it is).

And needs the player to do something in order to see that upgrade happening?

Assuming that you are referring to the fighter contingents on US carriers, the CV must be in port at a base with lots of supply and a major command HQ such as Central Pacific, West Coast, etc.  That last prerequisite is the kicker.  Also, it appears that there isn't a fixed date for when the change occurs so you basically have to wait until it does.

What dtravel says and the Manual says late 1942, so figure 7/42 and thereafter

Mine have just upgraded in 8/42. The CVs I had in port in Australia did not, so I moved them to Pearl and disbanded and they all upgraded the next turn. Welcome reinforcements to my CAP!
