Hi guys,

It's possible to switch the difficulty rating during a campaign?
Or it has to be set only at very start of the scenario/campaign?

I am pretty sure you can swtich it. But any thing less than VERY HARD is too easy, so why switch?

ehm... I didn't know.
After destroying 6 Japanese CV and CVL in a single clash after ambushing them with ease.. I realized that "historical" difficulty was too easy.
Hoping in future patch that will improve AI (for exemple directing damaged ships right into near suitable ports instead of sending them hoplessly right to Osaka/Pearl -with 70/80 floating dmg- just to sink on the route...), I will set to Very Hard all my actual campaigns.

Thanks

Very Hard can get very frustrating since one cannot starve enemy bases on VH. They get substantial supply bonuses and combat bonuses too. So it makes battles quite "unrealistic". I prefer "hard" since it is supposed to give only intelligence bonus to AI (it gets to peek ur orders, TFs and bases).

Sardaukar is right. Land battles on VH are tiresome. Canton was surrounded for 9 months and bombed/bombarded every day and it still took forever to knock it down 1 fort level.
Yes, you can change just about eveything during a game.
