1). Opportunity charges by friendly cav in good order in response to charging enemy cavalry. 2). A 'fleet symbol' for provinces building ships/fleets instead of a 'infantry' looking box displayed on the map. 3). Better AI placement (i.e. not my supply all alone facing his troops!) and player placement (including formation and facing) in a designated area BEFORE the commencement of tactical battles UNLESS one side or the other is surprised. BEST IDEA: Defender gets first placement, facing and formation in a designated area and attacker enters in column along the hex side opposite the placement area. 4). Make EVERY battle a choice of detailed or not. 5). Detailed fleet battles (I know - pie in the sky.....) 6). When two countries get a surrender from the same major power, make some information box appear if/when you select a province to be ceded AND the AI or another player has done the same. Then you can change your mind OR try for it as well but it should BE RANDOM. I ALWAYS lose to the AI in such a case as they ALWAYS get the contested ceded province EVEN when my turn is before them and hence, my treaty was written BEFORE theirs. 7). Some method of determining waste by clicking a button and showing owned provinces in green (no waste), yellow (small waste), red (what the !?%@ waste). A suggestion by an advisor how to 'fix the waste' would be nice too as I can never figure out what waste, why and how? 8). If an army "amphibious invades" from a ship and loses, they should all retreat back on the fleet (if no enemy fleet is also in the sea zone) OTHERWISE they should surrender. SPEAKING OF RETREAT - PLEASE fix this so a losing attacker retreats back to the province it came from or the defender retreats first to a adjacent friendly province or neutral province if no friendly exists. If the attacker's last province moved from is enemy occupied or owned then retreat to a different friendly province or neutral province. In either defender or attacker's case, if only Enemy controlled provinces (At least a city garrison) are available for retreat then the forces surrender. (Not an exact solution but consider it attrition for moving through enemy territory without securing a LOC behind you). The presence of irregular, guerilla and cossack units should have NO EFFECT on the retreat process. BE WARNED ATTACKER: No more moving two or three provinces into your enemy's country without 'securing' the LOC behind you or you are in a "win or die" battle. 9). In conjunction with #8, depots can ONLY be placed in friendly controlled or protectorate owned territory, sea zones with a fleet counter, or by treaty. 10). Irregular, cossack and guerillas CAN NOT release POW's.
