Just had to share this good news and thank Shaun and everyone for their patience and sincere help. Bought the game, downloaded it, but never was able to get it to run. Tried everything I could think of and probably drove the helpers here crazy for awhile. Even got impatient and wondered if I could get a refund. It had been about a month since I bought the game.
Well, I had a problem with this game and a problem with the sounds playing on another game so I gave in and took my PC to the Computer Room in Fairview Heights, IL earlier this week.
Presto!! Kara found the problem...XP troubles/glitches...whatever.
Got home and enjoyed seeing the main game screen for the first time. Auto played the 2005 season to the last day of April. At the 6th inning of my White Sox playing the Red Sox I played the game manually.
Excellent sounds...great graphics with the ball flight etc. Looking forward to have some free time later this weekend to check out the game better and install some of the 3rd party pics etc. And the kicker...White Sox held on and won the game!
Thanks to all who offered help. I pleased with the first looks at the game and anticipate checking it out more fully.
Having troubles with PS 2007...don't give up like I almost did. Looks like a splendid game, indeed!! And for me, my troubles were not the fault of PS 2007.
