Is anyone aware of any art that's been developed for the Hall XPTBH-2. I've been fooling around with the Iron Storm scenario and am interested in adding this plane, but lack the ability to produce any art on my own. I've tried looking though this site and have not found anything. Any help would be appreciated.

Never heard of it - and I am surprised by that. What is it? I may well have something I can image. The name Hall and the designation looks vaguely American.

Here it is:

It actually looks nearly sleek...

From what I understand, the prototype was produced for the same competition that produced the Vindicator and Devastator. I haven't found any major problems with the aircraft except that the Navy wasn't interested in this type of plane. Looking at the Pacific makes we wonder why.

It's in a niche that's already filled by the PBY...

The closest thing to it (i.e. relatively modern torpedo-armed floatplane) that I can think of is the German Heinkel 115.

I've just assumed the Navy wasn't interested as they did have the PBY and the Mariner wasn't too far from beginning development. I've also wondered if there wasn't a preference that planes with some offensive potential should be carrier capable. I'm curious to see if a plane of this type would perform well operating out of less developed bases in the Philippines or South Pacific regions.

Well, given how the Dutch T-IV does, I'm sure this would be of an equal or more effective class.
